- How long will the interview last?
- How will the room be set up?
- Who will introduce and welcome each candidate?
- What is the order of questions?
- Who will ask the questions?
- What will be happening while individuals are answering questions?
- Plan the "rating" criteria.

Six Steps Process
- Planning the interview (format, questions, roles)
- Giving Information: You are not only trying to find a match for your school but also a match for the candidate.
- Getting Information: Questions need to be designed that will solicit specific information being sought based on the interviewee's response.
- Personal Impact: You are also selling your school, to the candidate as well. Create a positive and memorable impact.
- Responding to the Applicant: Plan answers and determine who will answer them.
- Processing the Information: You need a way to compile the information on the candidates and a way to compare and reach a decision.

The goal of the interview process is to identify leading candidates for employment who are best qualified, best equipped, and most able to perform effectively.
The chosen candidate often must have a final interview with the principal or district personnel officer to verify that the candidate meets all the district requirements for employment.
