ELECTRICITY AND DIRECT CURRENT CIRCUITS …
ELECTRICITY AND DIRECT CURRENT CIRCUITS
The atom are made from other particles that are even smaller. Such a neutron, proton or electron
Electricity: A form of energy that lets negatively charged particles.
-
CONDUCTORS: Are the metals for example: the silver, aluminium, copper, tin and iron.
INSULATORS: Are the properties of the wood, for example: the wood, papper, plastic and textiles
OPEN CIRCUITS AND CLOSED CIRCUITS
Series circuit and Parallel circuit
LIGTH: We can convert electricity to light through load devices such as incandescent lamp, fluoresent tubes and electronic or
low-energy lamps.
HEATH: When electrons move through a conductor or load device, they create friction with the material as the pass through, which produce heat.
MOTION: We can also convert electricity to motion.
SOUND: We can use electrical energy to transmit sounds through microphones and we can produce sounds effects through sirens, buzzers and bells.
ENERERGY AND THE EVIRONMENT:
Electrical energy is generated industrially in power stations.
RESPONSABIBLE USE OF ELECTRICAL ENERGY:
When we save energy, we save money too but more importantly, we save natural resources and help to protect the eviroment.
Cell: Supplies electrical energy to the circuit
Battery: A grouped set of cells
Electric current: Is the flow of elecrons from one atom to another inside a conductive material
An electric circuit is a series of interconected components that an electric current flows through to produce an effect.
-
Short circuits: In a electric circuit, a short circuit occurs when the electric current is transported by the wires without passing through a load deviced
converts electrical energy to light energy
Motor: Converts electrical energy to kinetic energy
One-way switch: Open or Close the circuit when they are pressed.
Push switch: Open and Close the circuit but only while the button is pushed.
Two-way switch: Have two postitions. When we press them, they change from one position to the other.
