Roles and Responsibilities for Teachers
Plan engaging differentiated programmes for all learners
Connect with all whānau and local community
Knowledge of all curriculum (not just R/W/M)
Engage with the school community
Relationship: Know own learners (strengths, interests, ways of learning etc.)
Track the learning and progr
Knowledge of Te Ao Māori, responsibility of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
Build strong relationship with guardian class - be the first point of contact for whānau.
Organise and timetable events
Shared responsibility for wellbeing and learning of all learners in our team.
Observe and manage student behaviours
Share my ideas in team discussions so that I contribute my own thoughts and ideas.
Take personal responsibility for professional development
Ways to provide further support for at risk learners and communicate with leadership
Contribute to the wider life of the school. eg. coaching sports teams, involved in focus groups, musical groups etc.
Identify learning difficulties
Uphold the Code of Professional Conduct
Be committed to being a lifelong learner myself and being open to new ideas and ways of working.
