Sand play: indoor and outdoor sand art and sand sensory play, if safe during COVID
Activities with play'doh; children able to be creative and supports fine motor skills as they manipulate the material
Materials can include crayons, markers, paint, stamps, food colouring, and more
Child-led, process and not product focused creative arts plans are important so that children don't feel pressured to create an "end" product, but find joy and feel empowered during the time they are creating
Sponge painting, painting with sticks, cotton balls, flowers, leaves, and other materials let the children explore their creativity
Benefits include eye-hand co-ordination strengthening, literacy and cognitive benefits as children are able to focus, label, and describe their findings and process. Children are able to develop emotional skills as they are able to describe what they are feeling through art without having to vocalize it. Creative art activities are an excellent way for children to explore their creativity and curiosity.

Music: Children ca explore different sounds that their homemade instruments make and then can expand literacy skills by describing what noises they hear and how they sound/rhythms/volumes
Shelf toy: Children can participate in imaginative play with items such as the baby dolls and animals/can take on different roles
