Difficult for many people, but with a few steps you can domine this process.
There are 6 steps to get it:
Pay attention
The details are everything. Pay attentions to to everything that happens, a sound or word, event, flavour, superficy or smell can be the beginning of a story. These only must be interesting for the reader.

If you take notes on the events that happen around you, including those that don't seem important, you will have many ideas for do a story. The way you take notes doesn't matter, but always take notes.

Create Story Framework
To make an interesting story you must do different things like a story frame that allows you to better organize the information you have. You can ask several questions with which you can know who the characters are, the main idea, the setting and others; because a story is not a simple chain of events, it is a sequence that gives you a conclusion and invites the reader to identify themselves in the reading.
Begin: The person who smells something strange and go to investigate.
Middle: The person find a bird die with a message in a hole and read in the paper that someone is watching it.
End: The person panics.
Do a solid plot
Getting the attention of the reader is easier if you have a solid plot, which must have a beginning, a middle and an end, in these parts of the story there must be a main conflict that develops correctly, and has a climax and consequences, affecting the characters. A good plot is as a roller coaster.

Remember always 4 principles basic of the creative story
Choose the setting of the story and decide how many this will influence in the action.
The character isn't perfect, because if the character is perfect the reader will get bored quickly.
The character is discomfort with something or someone, or has a great obstacle to overcome: this helps the development of the story, making it more interesting.
Finishing everything you start helps you work better, and avoid what makes you desperate. Then transcribable and edit it.
