Plants In Mountains
The tree is very tall and has a conical shape so that snow can slide of easily. These trees leaves have a waxy coating and are needle shaped this prevents the loss of water. The trees here do not have flowers but have cones that stores the seeds instead.
Plants In Coastal Areas
The trees are tall and have hard round trunks. The leaf is cut into strips this is so that when wind goes through it does not tear the leaf. The leaves are waterproof. The roots are long and spread wide. The seeds are dispersed by water
Plants In Deserts
Their water is stored in their stems therefore the stems are fleshy and have a waxy coating. The stem also takes care of photosynthesis. The don't have leaves and instead have spines so that the water is not lost.
Plants In Marshlands
They have large air spaces in the stem to store air in case of need. These plants have roots that grow above the water to breathe. These roots take air into the stems, roots and leaves. These roots are called breathing roots
Aquatic Animals
Floating plants
The stems are light and filled with air this is so that they can float. The stomata is on the upper side of the leaves.Long roots hang free in the water take in nutrients and help the plant stay upright.
Fixed Plants
Most of the plant is above water. The plants have long thin stems that are flexible and hollow to withstand the force of water. The leaves are broad and flat and have a waxy coating so that water does not come over the plant. The stomata is on the upper side of the plant.
Underwater Plants
The plants have flexible stems. There roots are not well developed because they don't have to search for water. The leaves are thin, narrow and pointed this helps for the free flow of water. Most of them do not have a stomata.
