Jovian VS Terrestrial Planets
1.Jovian planets are also considered outer planets
Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune
the outer planets are made up of gas and liquid
they are farther out of the Sun
they have more moons
they have rings
Jupiter is the largest
The gas planets have a rocky core
they are mostly made out of hydrogen
Terrestrial planets are the inner planets
Inner planets have solid surfaces
they also have thin and no atmosphere
Inner planets have no rings
They are more dense which is why the elements are more packed together
they also are mostly made up of cooled igneous rocks
They orbit slower
earth is the only planet to have oceans but it is believed that mars has had water at some point
they have iron cores
Both Jovian and terrestrial planets orbit the Sun
They both have magnetic fields
They all have a core
