      - Ask group 1 students for help when needed.
      - Review key vocabulary through simple games with pictures
      - Simplify keywords (habitat -> home, arctic -> snow, ocean -> sea/under water)
  - - - Sing songs and read aloud stories about animals
      - Chunking: Simplify the matching and sorting activities by providing fewer choices at one time.
      - Redo the two corners game with just this group, rephrasing the questions and simplifying key words. If they are still struggling or distracted by the movement, provide them with two answer cards attached to popsicle sticks to raise up.
      - Exit ticket: ask a question and have them draw their answer about something they learned that day
  - - - Heavy use of pictures, realia, and visual aids in conjunction with clear and simple instructions
      - Chunk the steps into smaller groups (such as going over 1 step at a time, instead of multiple steps at once)
      - Review key words just like above but focus on a smaller set of “must learn” words and treat the other key words as bonus. Do multiple reviews in different formats where necessary.
      - Always model activities and provide lots of examples.
