The Application Process
Most information falls into one of the following categories: personal data, education and/or professional preparation, experience, and references.
Application forms can also devise methods of extracting applicant's attitudes, opinions, and values.
Use the letter of application, placement file, and professional résumé to provide a completed file.
Application Rating Scale
- Unacceptable. -Marginal. - Acceptable. - Good. - Superior.
Screening
Three weeks minimum, the completed applications need to be reviewed and screened according to predetermined criteria.

The application file needs to match the need assessment and personnel requisition done earlier in the process.

Selection of the best teacher candidates becomes increasingly specific, and in turn, more critical, as it is the teacher who is responding to the demographic needs of children.
Responding to district population's social, physical, and educational needs is continuous evaluation process, not a final decision.
The match of candidate to position must be decided by individuals who understand both specific needs of the position and the characteristics, education and experience of the chosen applicant
It is both, a marvelous opportunity and a time of great risk.
