Parent skills training used to educate parents on their responses and improve parent-child relations.

Uses a multisystematc approach focusing on the relevent systems including indiviudal, family and community
Focuses on all domains of the cliet's experiences, including biological , behavioral, affective, cognitivr, cultural and relational
Integrates different theoretical backgrounds from behavioral, systemic, cognitive and intrapyschic therapies
Contact/ Closeness is used to draw family members together(merging)
Distance/.independence (seperating) used to facilate space and encourage members to stay away from one another
Midpointing, a combination of contact and distance used to fluctaute emotions within the family. Used to draw members closer togather
