World Wars provided jobs for deaf people
Many deaf families would move to places where jobs were readily available for them. Creating a Deaf community in that area.
After the war many deaf people were laid off creating mass unemployment in the deaf community.
Deaf schools are created
Created a social change towards deaf peoples capabilities
Religion became more accessible so many deaf people became ordained and hearing people provided interpreting services during church.

Age, economic class, race, ethnic background, geographic origin, religion, gender, abilities, hearing status, vision status, language, family influences, education, and cultural influences.
Diversity is a part of deaf culture and to only think about hearing status is uninformed opinion that hurts the community.
