Vitamin B
Functions of Vitamin B:
It is important to make sure our body's cells are working properly, it also helps the body convert food into energy.
It is a water-soluble vitamin. It is mainly stored in the liver.
Vitamin B sources:
Dairy products, red meat, chicken, kidney and liver, some sea foods and dark green vegetables.
What to do if you have Vitamin B deficiency:
You should consume more products that are rich in Vitamin B. Older people are more likely to have Vitamin B deficiency.
Symptoms of Vitamin B deficiency:
Having pale skin, being weaker than usual, and dizziness.
Vitamin A
(Also known as Retinol)
It is a fat-soluble vitamin
and it is stored in the liver.
There are two types of Vitamin A. The first one is Performed Vitamin A and it is found in products that we get from animals. The second one is Provitamin A and it is found in plants.
Vitamin A is found in:
Dairy products, yellow or orange fruits and vegetables such as carrots, eggs, fortified cereal and fortified skim milk, green, leafy vegetables, oily fish, livers and other liver products.
Functions of Vitamin A:
It improves your vision in dim light, it helps your immune system and it is important for cell growt.
Too little of Vitamin A can result in night blindness, acne and infertility whereas too much of Vitamin A might result in bone weakness when you get old.
What to do if you have Vitamin A deficiency:
You should eat products that are rich in Vitamin A,

Vitamin K
It is a fat-soluble vitamin. It is stored in the liver and fatty tissues. Our body stores very little amounts of Vitamin K.
Functions of Vitamin K:
It acts as an Antioxidant, it produces energy, it prevents internal bleeding, it protects the immune system and it makes blood clotting possible.
Vitamin K is found in:
Cereal grains, vegetable oils and green, leafy vegetables.

You bleed too much.

You should see a doctor since they might decide to inject drug phytonadione which is a treatment for Vitamin K deficiency.
Vitamin E
It is a fat-soluble vitamin. It is stored in the liver and fatty tissues as well.
Vitamin E is found in:
Sunflowers, nuts, greens, pumpkins, avocados and mangos.
Functions of Vitamin E:
It acts as an Antioxidant, it helps protecting cells from radicals.
What to do if you have Vitamin E deficiency:
You should take Vitamin E supplementary if your doctor tells you to.
Vitamin E deficiency symptoms:
Vitamin E deficiency is rare. You lose control of your body movements, your vision gets worse .
Vitamin C
(Also known as Ascorbic Acid)
It is a water-soluble vitamin,
it is stored in the body in really limited amounts.
Vitamin C is found in:
Citrus fruits, kiwis, strawberries, broccoli, tomatos (fruits and vegetables)
Functions of Vitamin C
: It is needed for repair of body tissues, it protects cells from damage, it protects us from cancer cells,
Too little of Vitamin C might result in scurvy which is a disease.
Too much of Vitamin C might cause dierrhea, vomiting and nausea although it is very unlikely.
What to do if you have Vitamin C deficiency: You should include more Vitamin C rich products in your diet.
Vitamin D
It is a fat-soluble vitamin. Our body creates Vitamin D when our skin gets exposed to sunlight.
Vitamin D is found in:
Oily fish, fortified food, red meats, liver and egg yolks.
Functions of Vitamin A:
It is important to keep normal blood levels of phosphorus and calcium.
Too much of Vitamin D might weaken your bones and damage your kidneys and heart while having too little Vitamin D might lead to loos of bone density or diseases.
