Different sites...different contexts, value, level & type of use, benefits, landscape, biodiversity, heritage, community, life long learning, health & wellbeing, green infrastructure
From the DfT document Inclusive Mobility (2002) that 50m is the max distance many mobility impaired people can walk before they need to rest .... rest points = able to walk further
Worth noting... Data was collected pre-Covid-19. Some examples of stats....
86% believe that these spaces encourage them to keep fit and healthy
86% believe that these spaces improve their mental health
98% thinks these spaces make themselves happy
65% most often visit the nearest greenspace to their home
30% of those who don't visit say that they are too busy
