Dna, structue:single strand, (dna on) - Coggle Diagram
Dna
structure: Double stranded helix
Stands for deoxyribose sugar
made of a long strand of nucleotides
Mutations:changes/mistakes in dna
in the middle where dna meets up is hydrogen bond.
Rna
mrna=messenger rna
trna=transfer rna
transfers amino acids to ribosomes when they make proteins
Anticodons:Codons for trna. Match up with codons for mrna
is a little copy of dna.
transcription:copying dna to make rna
Rna is made in nucleus
once it's made transfers to ribosome
each part of the rna message is a codon which is a set of three base pairs.
translation:translating mrna bases into protein chain.
done by ribosomes.
protein is Luciferase
ex: GAA AAC ATG GAG AAC GAT GAA AAT ATT GTG TAT GGT------->E N M E N D E N I V Y G
Amino acid:small part of protein
structue:single strand
Stands for ribose sugar
