What happens at different stages of Development
Stage 2- Can appreciate others perspectives. Can only take on one point of view at a time
Stage 3- Can understand a situation by looking at own and other peoples perspectives
Stage 1-Children can tell the difference between theirs and others viewpoints. Can only focus on one perspective
Stage 4- Can understand multiple viewpoints. Knows that understanding viewpoints is not always enough to reach agreement
Stage 0- Children can identify emotional states in others but dont know what caused them

Use of a longitudinal study- Can track Childs development (findings are more likely to be valid)
Perspective taking is important in social behaviour. Research shows this

There are other influences such as environmental (how you are raised)
If cognitive development is important to social behaviour, surely bullies should have problems with perspective taking. This is not the case
