Jack's Hardwood Firewood: Sale/Service Process
SELL PRODUCT?
SALES METHOD?
In my business, I would use an internal sales method.
This type of sales method would work best for my firewood business.
I know almost all firewood businesses use an internal sales method.
THE BENEFITS
I can also choose the pricing of my firewood.
I can choose which customers to do business with.
If I want to make changes of how I sell my product, I have control over making any changes necessary.
WHY?
I would like to provide the best customer service I can myself.
I would also like to interact with customers so I can learn more about their firewood needs.
I prefer to be the only one to have control over how I would sell my product.
NOT EXTERNALLY!
I would have to share profit with the company.
I wouldn't know what improvements I could make to my product without interacting with customers.
If my business used an external sales method, a hired company would have control over the sales of my firewood, not me.
REALITY CHECK
TARGET MARKET
I would sell my firewood to people who need firewood for the winter.
I would also sell my firewood to people who enjoy campfires.
Whether for the winter or for campfires, there is a big demand for firewood.
GENERATE SALES
I would let prospects know that I only deliver firewood.
I would also tell prospects why I process firewood differently than other firewood sellers.
When prospects contact me about buying firewood, I'll state my firewood's value proposition.
QUALIFIED SALES?
I would want to make a sales presentation to the decision maker, which is the prospect.
I'll listen to the prospect about his/her needs and budget, and see if my firewood is what the prospect wants.
It's up to the prospect if he/she wants to purchase my firewood.
APPROACH PROSPECTS
I would ask if my firewood is what the prospect is wanting to buy.
A prospect and I must have a deal about firewood and the price it comes with.
I would tell prospects that my wood prices aren't negotiable.
SALES PRESENTATION
I will also tell prospects that my firewood is ready for burning.
A third fact I'll share with prospects is that my firewood is processed from only dead trees, which makes awesome wood.
I'll tell prospects that my firewood is all hardwood, which is great for burning long and hot.
