There was the Decree on Peace, which promised an end to the war and concluded in the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk
Some of the Tsarist's leftovers were WWI, the hunger, & hyper inflation. People really suffered, for example the peasants starved and had to fight in the war, the people wanted suffering to stop
In the their first few months in power they gave the workers and peasants what they wanted to appear to be following through on their promises before the revolution (peace, bread, land)
There was the Workers' Decree, which established a maximum 8 hour day this was an improvement compared to the previous system of the Tsarists' regime
During their power there was the "Decree on on Land" this legitimized peasant seizures and won their support
The Cheka were given the task of carrying out class warfare, the excuse was the bourgeoisie were plotting counter-revolution
They provided food for the soldiers who were in need of it and ultimately helped them to win the Civil War. It also gave food to the factories It may have been unpopular, but it was effective
With the end of their participation of Russia on the WWI the people were more peaceful but the country had lost territory
The idea of class warfare was always emphasized, with socialism always being the positive antithesis to the exploitative capitalist system
Civil War
They provided food for the soldiers who were in need of it and ultimately helped them to win the Civil War (or their side)
The Civil War was Anti-Bolshevik's ("the whites") against Bolsheviks ("the reds") , finally the reds won and made "the whites" go out the country
The people was really divided because many belonged and supported the Menshevicks
