past simple
We use past simple for actions that are alredy in the past
structure
afirmative: subject+verb in past+complemet
Ex: Mia worked yesterday
Negative: subject+did/was/were+infinitive verb+ complemet
Ex: Mia didn't work yesterday
interrogative: did/was/were+subject+infinitive verb+complemet+?
Ex: Did you work yesterday

For regular verbs, add -ed to the root form of the verb
For irregular verbs is different
present perfect
We use present perfect when talking about an event that started in the past and continues in the present
estructure
Afirmative: Subject+have/has+past participle+complemet
Ex:i have talked to jack
Negative:Subject+have/has+not+past participle+complemet
Ex:i haven't talk to jack
interrogative: have/has+subject+past participle+complement+?
Ex: has maria watched tv?
Have/has
The specific time is not used, so specific expressions are not used
No concrete expressions are used
Is used to describe experiences
Used for time change
Is used to talk about actions at different times in the past
