After the consultation and theme papers' approval, FP and AF members were asked to circulate the calls for the roadmaps. No preliminary indications were given on possible coordination activities by the AF and FP related to this calls. We consider this a lost opportunity since we reiceved many feed-back from art. 36 organizations on the theme papers during the consultation step at the AF table, but it was not possible for administrative and organizational reasons to organize a targeted action on the calls (that requires applications in partnership by the interested organizations) to promote the networking of the organizations that were more active in contribiuting to the consultation. Indicating in advance, in the theme papers, the specific role and actions by the AF members, also in phases following the consultation step, would better address and facilitate an adequate management by the national AF member of the next steps related to the calls. Considering the rilevance of the SPIDO activities in the field of Regulatory Science (above all covering the scientific gaps that prevent an effective risk management) we think that a specific procedure addressing from the beginning all the steps of the process, including the post consultation steps, would be welcome.
