        1450 CE in North America. Today the regions covered by the nations included, Ontario, Quebec, Illinois, Maine, New Hampshire, New York State, Vermont, Massachusetts.
        
        Importance :
        In 1450 CE, 5 Indigenous Nations gathered to create The Great Binding Law. This law covered many things including, rights, duties, responsibilities of the communities which includes, adoptions, emigration, treason and secession.
        Impact on Canada:
        Despite everything Canada has done, the 6 Nations has remained united. This law has shaped basic Civil Laws amongst governments and has helped to acknowledge this country’s past.
        
        1100s-1250 CE, Angevin Empire
        
        Importance:
        The Twelve Members of the King’s Jury had started by going out across the land to settle disputes and to keep the folk in line by King Henry II's request. By creating a functioning source of justice he undermined his own power and the idea of him no longer being the sole maker of the laws, made them question if he did not rule by divine law, thus making him above the Law.
        Impact on Canada:
        Magna Carta is incredibly similar to the Charters of Rights and Freedoms in Canada as it declares that the sovereign rule must oblige the Charter.
        
        1804 CE
        French Revolution Era, in France and other countries under their rule.
        
        Importance:
        Napoleon Bonaparte knew that in order to properly govern a country in disarray was to enforce order. His way of enforcing order was by creating more specific and understandable Civil Laws for civilians. This included the proper creation of Wills, Property, Contracts and Family Law.
        Impact on Canada:
        As time went on in Canada the Family Law went on to include more and now women and children can escape problems within their families.
        
        527-565 CE
        Roman Empire, Ancient Rome, Italy
        
        Importance:
        The Roman Empire created many advancements for human kind, and as they did that life became more complex. One emperor, Emperor Justinian decided it was time to reform and clarify the laws.
        Impact on Canada:
        Justinian helped to clarify the civil and criminal laws of the Roman empire by directing the empire along the proper path to getting justice for future generations in all countries.
      - 450 BCE
        Ancient Rome, Italy
        
        Importance: Part of the Roman laws were their two principals which are as follows; Everything had to be recorded for future reference, (i.e in case a law needed to be changed or checked) and secondly, Justice could not be left up to the judges.
        Impact on Canada:
        In Canada when a case opens, no matter the circumstances, everything is documented from start to finish, including evidence, investigation, arrest and the trial is recorded by the court reporter who takes down everything everyone says.
    - - Importance: Democracy was very popular in the Greek Law, it is where some of the first traces of a jury were. When big decisions were being made such as trading or even what is the suitable punishment for a crime, all the citizen's would gather and talk about their options.
        Impact on Canada:
        Canada has used juries throughout many cases and they help to allow the citizens have a voice in important matter.
