Basic concepts of motion and branches of physics
Speed
Is the relationship between the distance traveled by a body and time it takes to travel it
Acceleration
The change in velocity of a body during its movement
Velocity
Is the relationship between the displacement that travels an object and the time spent on it
Mass
The measureof the property of all bodies to resist changes in their state. Is the measure of the inertia of the bodies
Displacement
Is the distance traveled in a straigth line from an initial position to an end position
Force
Is every agent capable of producing a change in the movement of bodies
Distance
Is the space traveled by the body during the change of position
Weight
Is the force with which the Earth attracts a body due to the action of gravity
Movement
Is a change of position of a body in space and thorugh time
Mass measurement instrument
Balance
Length measuring instruments
A first they used their own body for that purpose, for example: the step, the span, the brace, the inch, the foot, among others. later it began to be used the ruler, the tape measure (or flexometer)
Instrument for measuring time
Such as the shadow cast by the sun, candles, the hourglass, among others. Such as the mechanical clock, the quartz clock, the digital chronometer and the atomic clock
