Incomplete- is missing one of the four key parts
calyx- made up of sepals
sepal- protects unopened bud
bud- inside sepal, develops flower
corolla- attracts insects and birds
Petals- used to attract pollinators
colorful- want the flower to be colorful so more animals are attracted
Perfect- has both stamen and pistil
Imperfect- is missing one stamen and pistil
male- contains male parts
stamen- main male part, produces pollen
Filament- supports the stamen
Anther-produces the pollen
Pollen- used to breed other flowers
staminate- male flower
female- contains female parts
Pistillate- female flower
Pistil- main female part, receives pollen
pollen tube- transfer the pollen
style- support for the pistil
Ovary- uses the pollen to make seeds
ovules- inside the ovaries
stigma- Catches the pollen
