PE (Assositive stage, Practive Methods) - Coggle Diagram
PE
Assositive stage
Autonomous stage
Skill is automatic
Can detect and correct errors
Focus is on streagergy and tactics (completely on external)
Rollerskating looking infront of them all the time and is able to perform tricks and being in the middle
Cognitive stage
Mentally comprehends skill
Will be inconsistant
Stiff and unrelaxed when performing skill
eg rollerskating looking at feet and holding onto the wall
Begining to refine their technique/movement pattern
More consistant
Fewer errors but stil making them
eg. Roller skating going a little bit off the wall and looking a little more up instead of at feet
More attention to externally environment
Detect errors and create startergies to eliminate them
Practive Methods
Part and whole practice
Motor skills can be broken into subconcepts (useful for beginners)
Consider:
Task complexity: Part pratice may be appropriate for skills that have multiple segments
Task Organisation: How dependent each segment is on the previous segment
Amount
Amount is critical to learning variable
In cognitive stage, performance can show significant gains in relation to amount of practice
Distributed or massed
