        The sound is produced because the electromagnet recives a current and changes in the electric current cause the electromagnet to move back and forth. The attached speaker cone vibrates and produces sound. The speaker needs a permanent magnet since Without the permanent magnet the electromagnet would NOT be Attracted or Repelled by anything it will not be able to vibrate and produce sound.
      - Galvanometer
        
        A galvanometer is a device that uses an electromagnet to measure the electric current. The rotation of the needle in the galvanometer depends on the current in the electromagnet. The amount of current is sent by a sensor and then the rotation of the needle changes.
      - Electric Motors
        
        An electric motor is a device that changes electrical energy into mechanical energy. Electric motors are used in all types of industry, agriculture, and transportation. electric motors are used in DVD players, computers, and hair dryers. The first practical AC motor was built in 1888 by Nikola Tesla.
