Aerosols influence climate in two primary ways: by changing the amount of heat that gets in or out of the atmosphere, or by affecting the way clouds form and grow. Human put plumes of aerosols into the air from power plants and industrial smokestacks that include, smoke and gases from biomass burning; windblown dust from deforested areas, dried wetlands, and crop fields; exhaust from ships' smokestacks; tailpipe emissions from cars, trucks, buses, and trains.
