Research and planning
Research other guidebooks. Industry trends in typography and publication design and how
typographical designers use their creative expertise in industry
Assess and evaluate the technical and aesthetic aspects of
visual communication during research process
Plan design process, develop project timeframes and costing for
own time and identify issues that may occur
Using research produce and explore a minimum of 5 different
thumbnails for potential layouts. layouts for pages of difference. Document feedback from atleast 2 people on concept designs

Describe the basic principles and techniques for creating type based multipage designs, what equipment/software programs you would use and final presentation methods and why?
Produce and Experiment

Collect stock images and your own images that you might use in the design and production of this project and make print ready

Experiment with grid systems and different options for type and
image layout, consider functionality and hierarchy

Finalisation and Testing
Finalise design in accordance to the clients guidelines and add required logos and organisational/legal information, describing copyright requirements of artwork, text and images used for brochure content
The final document must be prepared using industry standard functions, i.e. paragraph/table styles, use tables for timetable information and must be print ready
Print the final document to actual size as a proof for feedback and recommendations from teacher and other students
Make required changes, document modifications in your visual diary then reprint document ready for submission
