Forming the passive voice
The passive voice is composed of two elements:
the appropriate form of the verb 'to be' + past participle
Structure
Subject + to be (conjugated) + past participle + rest of sentence
Grammar
We use passive verb forms: when the main thing we are talking about is the object of the verb.

to introduce the person or thing that did the action.
We usually use

to introduce a tool, instrument or techniquethat was used by agent.
