Process
- EARDRUM vibrates, the vibrations are spread to the THREE MIDDLE EAR BONES
- That vibrations enter the COCHLEA, in the INNER EAR
- VIBRATIONS are directed down the ear canal to the EARDRUM
- Movements of the ENDOLYMPH stimulate the cilia of the sensory cells in the COCHLEA, converting the stimulus into NERVE IMPULSES
- SOUND WAVES are captured by the outer ear
- The NERVE IMPULSES travel to the brain via the AUDITORY NERVE
