In the simplest of words, Popular Culture boils down to the traditions and material culture of a particular society. Pop culture falls under the broad topic of sociology. It refers to media objects, entertainment and leisure, fashion and trends, and linguistic conventions, among other things. These social characteristics of life influence people unconsciously, many people don't understand the concept of pop culture even whilst they are religiously following it. You could almost define pop culture as social trends which are followed by a majority of society.
