THE CAUSES OF POVERTY
Social stratification
The ranking of people into a hierarchy in which the resources considered valuable by society
are unequally distributed.
Structural unemployment
It may lead to the poverty also because if the income of a person non exceed the standard life, that person can experience proverty.
Social mobility
It refers to the movement of people from one social role to another in the hierarchy of stratification.
DEFINITION OF POVERTY
Absolute
It establishes a fixed economic level at which people are considered poor, and this level does not inherently shift as society as a whole becomes more or less affluent.
Relative
People are poor compared to some standard, and that standard is partly influenced by the lifestyles of other residents.
Cultural
Cultural Analysis
It is focuses on the values, attitudes, and psychological orientations that may emerge among groups of people who live under conditions of poverty
The cultural concept of poverty considers poverty not just in terms of how many resources people have, but also in terms of why they have not reached a higher economic level.
