Methodology
There is a speicifc scientific method of collecting data to derive theories or laws. There must be indepentent and dependent variables. As well as control variables.
Karl Popper's faslicifaction theory, a scientific theory must be falsifiable - therefore, falsification is part of the scientific methodology.
If variables that can change the hypothesis are not controlled in experiments, it cannot be considered a scientific method. This is why pchsycology cannot be considered a science - too many variable that cannot be controlled.
