        EXAMPLES: Some straw, corn cobs, and we can be used to create fuels
        
        PROS: generating energy from organic waste materials can greatly help and waste management, which has become a major issue in many countries.
        as the availability of biomass sources such as plants manure and waste may not diminish compared finite fossil fuels. these can all be considered as a renewable form of energy
        
        CONS: Like fossil fuels, biomass releases carbon dioxide emissions upon combustion
        construction and operating cost of a biomass energy plant can be expensive in relation to traditional forms of power generation

        scientists are currently using stem cells to treat patients with blood diseases such as leukemia.
        Stem cells can treat things such as stokes, severe burns, heart disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and Huntington's disease.
    - - PROS: May hold the answer to curing various diseases, different diseases including cancers Alzheimer's Parkinson's and more can be treated with stem cells by replacing damaged or diseased tissue.
- - - - CONS: the process is sensitive to the level of toxicity and environmental conditions in the ground and treatment time is typically longer than that of other remediation technologies
    - - DEFINITION: a genetically modified organism is a plant, animal, or microbe whose DNA has been altered using genetic engineering techniques.
        
        EXAMPLES:
        we use breeding methods to modify organisms such as corn, DNA of microorganisms, crops, plants and animals.
        
        PROS: many GMO crops have been genetically modified to express a gene that protect them against pests and insects and with some GMO crops they are modified to help them survive stressful conditions resulting in a higher yield for farmers.
        
        CONS:
        GMO foods contain foreign jeans, so some people worry that they have Harbor genes from foods that may prompt an allergic reaction
        Although current research suggests that GMO foods are safe, there is some concern around their long-term safety and environmental impact
