Components of Blood
Blood is made of
-
Red blood cells
-
Homeostasis of water and electrolytes
in the blood. The liver helps to keep the glucose levels in the blood at the correct amount, which is about 80-120mg/dL

Cardiovascular system
The Heart
Blood travels into right atrium from the body, deoxygenated. Then goes into the right atrium and to the lungs through the pulmonary arteries.
When blood come back from lungs, it goes into the right atrium. then into the right ventricle which disperse the blood throughout the body

Blood Flow
-
-
Capillaries connect the veins and arteries together in capillary beds. They also exchange gases and nutrients

-
Tissue Perfusions
-
It also allows for the removal of waste production in the blood, transportation of hormones, and it requires a good amount of blood pressure
Homeostasis
The heart is constantly adapting to the amount of blood needed throughout the body, in order for the blood to target specific areas more then others. This is dependent on the activity that you are doing. The blood it targeting different places to accommodate your activities. Alters the blood pressure and volume.
Respiratory System
-
Lungs
When blood reaches the lungs, it becomes oxygenated and returns to the heart in the pulmonary veins.
Canines have 6 different lobes. 4 on the right side and 2 on the left. Felines have 7 lobes, r on the right and 3 on the left.

Homeostasis
To maintain homeostasis, oxygen needs to be delivered in the body. This is done by oxygenating the blood. Without oxygen none of the other body systems could function.
