Present Continuous
Use
For an action happening right now at the moment of speaking.
The Present Continuous is mainly used for actions and happenings. It's not usually used for states.

Rules/Spelling
For most verbs, add -ing:
play / play
ing
work / work
ing
For verbs ending in -e, remove the -e and add -ing:
have / hav
ing
For verbs ending in a vowel (a, e, i, o, u) + the letter b, g, m, n, p, or t, double the last letter and add -ing:
swim / swim
ming
