Characteristics of CB
Forensic psychologists may characterise CB to help with offender profiling.E.g. the characteristics of disorganised crime include crimes that are unplanned and where there is little attempt to clean up evidence, whereas organised crime is pre-planned, weapons/tools are taken to the crime scene by the criminal in attempt to clean up and conceal evidence after the crime has been committed.
Griffith reports that offender profilers have characterised the 'typical' personality and characteristics of people who carry out some of the most serious offences.
