US Immigrant Groups and Their Contributions
Indian-American Immigration Contributions
Cultural
The fact that Indian Americans primarily filled roles of doctors engineers and scientists, has created a cultural generalization of Indians in America as high achievers or 'smart' people
Economic
Indian- Americans have the single highest income level of any ethnic group in America. This level of income is equivalent to twice that of the average of the US population. - Despite this, 6.5% of Indian-American households live bellow the poverty line - After the 1965 act of Immigration and Nationality which lifted some of the governing restrictions on immigration, there was an influx of Indian immigrants whom were unusually well educated(by the average standard for immigrants). These immigrants than contributed to the economy of the united states by taking on the careers which require more education, such as engineer, doctor, and scientists.
Social
-Statistically, Indian-Americans are more likely to be proficient in English than the general foreign born population. With over 22% of children ages 5+ being reportedly proficient in English. This has a major impact in the social dynamic of the United States, because whereas the Mexican-Americans are less proficient and therefore are less likely to be able to communicate their cultural principles on a large scale and are also potentially ostracized in social contexts, because of their lack of communication abilities, the Indian-Americans are able to optimize their communication and create more connections, thus facilitating their assimilation to US culture(and facilitating their own contributions) and collaterally their success.
Chinese-American Immigrants Contributions
Cultural
Main source of immigrants enrolled in higher education. This effects the cultural dynamic of the US given that it develops a stigma that Chinese immigrants are 'smart' and contribute well to the intellectual culture of the US. This leads some American born citizens to exalt them from an intellectual perspective.
Economic
-Compared to other immigrant groups AND native born populations, Chinese immigrants have a higher tendency for better education and are more likely to be placed in management positions. This leads to a diverse workforce within the higher level careers. This fosters more divers innovation and productivity within the economy.

Mexican-American Immigration Contributions
Social:
y
Lowered the number of workplace related injuries for native born citizens. This may impact the social dynamic between natives and Mexican immigrants potentially socializing us to believe that Mexicans aren "stronger" or more enduring than American born people. -Compared to other immigration groups, Mexican Immigrants have a low proficiency in English. In 2019 about 66% of immigrants ages 5+ demonstrated limited English capabilities. This contributes to a new diversity in social communication, and potential increase in open-mindedness to different languages and modes of communication or the opposite effect.
From personal experience, I have found that the high rate of Mexican immigrants encourages Native born children to learn Spanish
Economic:
Make up more than a third of the workforce in some industries. - Geographic mobility facilitates the adjustment of number of workers in different areas of sub economies that are strugguling -65% of foreign born adults participate in the labor force
Cultural:
Increase in birth rate in the US as a result of an influx of Mexican families coming to the US, helps to slow the aging US Population - Mexican Immigrants have created more variability in rare talent within subjects like the performing arts. This is because more conventional jobs and pursuits are not available to them and they are therefore lead to pursue more high risk//precarious careers
