5. Instuition
The Tv channel I would most likely be BBC which means British Broadcasting Corporation as they show a lot of different documentaries conveying different themes of history, education etc.
The money spent on the BBC was over one billion pounds when trying to put together a sucessful, well-operated documentary.
The BBC also owns the different types of media companies entitled Dave, Gold, W, Drama, Alibi, Eden and Yesterday
:
For my first documentary option I am thinking is that I will have different people answering questions based on the current pandemic like how have they been coping with it physically, mentally and spiritually. I will also include several interview questions and have graphs and statistics to show the seriousness of this current pandemic.
2. Representation
The people who are creating this representation is the government plus the people forming their opinions about how they have been generally coping with this pandemic as we currently in lockdown in terms of your mental and physical well-being. This will be an opinion as everyone is giving their different experiences during the lockdown.
Stereotypes are used and the way they are being represented or portrayed is that in my documentary I would show the example of young university students partying and disobeying lockdown rules. I will also show another sterotype of ahard-working srudent studying from home online school, being responsible and being catious on campus and taking the necessary pre-cautions to keep themselve safe. It was partly negative and postive as above we see the bad and good stereotype examples
The people who are being represented is the government making decisions and the different types of people talking about their experience during this pandemic.
For my second documentary option, I am considering doing a documentary based on the charity of CAFOD talking about the different aspects of what they do based in London including the different projects and campaigns they run to raise money for charity.
3. Message or Meaning
The documentary is not trying to persuade, it is trying to inform the viewers about the seriousness of this virus that it is contagious and you could end up dying if you do not take proper care after yourselves. It also informs us that people can suffer from mental and physical well-being and can be depressed during these difficult times.
The documentaries' message is that we should never judge people as you never know what they could be going through at a difficult time like this during a world pandemic plus we are in a lockdown.
4. Audience
** In my documentary, my audience will be aimed at everybody regarding your age, gender or religion as documentary can be watched by anyone. My target audience would be at least from 20 years old and above and be at least in the working class bracket. They should at least some good knowledge of politics and have at least some sort of education listed in their CV

Audience Appeal
-
The audience need to have a least some personal identity so viewers can recognise a person or a product or role models that reflect similar values to themselves or same characterstics. Social relationships are important as it is an escapism for reality and leads people to connect more with the society and discuss topics. Informative learning gives the viewers new information to learn about a documentary and gives us new information to learn about.

Camera Movement: The camera movement I would use for my documentary is pan and track as they are both effective. For instance, a pan shot pivots horizontally on a single point.
Shot Distance: The different types of shots I would use in my documentary is extreme close-up to show the facial expression of the people I am interviewing. I will also use medium shot to get their whole upper body in the shot and go into depth on what they are speaking on the situation of the current pandemic.
Soundtrack: For my sound track, it will be non-diegetic and with calm and relaxing music then sad and eerie music when I should facts and statistics of the deaths during this current pandemic to show how badly this virus is. I would also use sound effects like an ambulance siren to show the impact of the deaths
Editing: In my documentary, I would use continuity editing which is combining shots from q single shot into sequence. as it would be effective showing the different types of shots I have used combined together
-
Colour and Lighting: In this documentary. I will use mostly high key lighting to display the good lighting to represent the seriousness of the situation. I would also use the colour red as it implies danger and death as we will be showing the statistics of death that have occurred throughout this pandemic.
Props and Settings: The different props I would use would be a microphone and speaker, camera and tripod to film my documentary to make the documentary flow effeciently. The settings I would use would be inside of our homes talking about our experiences about how the pandemic has affected us
Costume & Make-Up: For the different costumes, I would maybe get different NHS workers and maybe patients who have gone through COVID-19 and recovered from it to talk about the difficulties they went through. I would not use a lot of make up as most of my characters would be male and they do not require make-up as it is not essential
Facial Expressions: In my documentary, there would be a use of different facial expressions when talking to different people about their experiences during this COVID-19 pandemic as some of them will show sadness as they may have lost a loved in this pandemic due to the fast rate it is spreading.
**Body Language:; In my documentary, body language is important as it conveys what type of emotion they are giving to the other person. The people in my documentary will have good body language which means by standing up straight and having direct eye contact with the interviewer when asking questions on how they have been coping during COVID-19.
