In both North and South America, settlers found game abundant and easy. The first settlers crossed the ice area, in several generations, and probably following the Pacific coast, they encountered thousands of animals that became extinct due to excessive hunting.These animals were: masotodons, lions, many types of deer, bears, horses and buffalo.
