Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego Google Earth Game. As these students showed a great ability to understand proper adjectives, and because this lesson in particular is about countries, these students will get to play this game on the tablets. They will not only be required to learn more about geography, history and culture of other countries, but also reinforce their knowledge of different proper adjectives by learning some new terms.
Invent a Country Activity After playing the Carmen Sandiego Google Earth game, students should have a better understanding of different countries, their geography, culture, history, laws, etc... Students can then use the information they have learned to create their own country in this worksheet activity. These students can thereby enhance their knowledge in multiple subjects while engaging not only the topic of the English lesson, but also used English in an applied way. This activity will also act as an assessment to see if they can use proper adjectives correctly when making their own country.
Super Solvers Midnight Rescue Upon completion of the Invent a Country Activity, students may choose to play this game. This game requires students to race against the clock to discover which mischievous robot has been vandalizing the school. Students are required to read short passages and answer questions based on the reading. This activity will help these students with their reading comprehension as well as be exposed to some new vocabulary.
Peer Teaching Students who show leadership and/or mentorship skills might be asked to assist other students
