Reproduction
Asexual
Asexual reproduction is one that is carried out only by an individual of a species which can be carried out in different ways, but all have in common that the result is genetically the same, that is, they are clones of the original specimen.
Spores
Reproduction by spores is the method used by most fungi which consists of the fungus producing spores which is a haploid cell produced by the mitosis of a haploid progenitor cell. Generally, it is identical to the progenitor cell, which is released by the fungus until it finds the ideal conditions to develop through air currents.
Fragmentation
Fragmentation is the method of reproduction that consists of 2 or more independent individuals are created by separating one or more parts of the original individual which after a time regenerate and create a new individual, a clear example of this is the starfish, earthworms and planarians
Binary Fision
Binary fusion is the process that is carried out by DNA duplication, followed by the division of the cytoplasm giving rise to two daughter cells. (Basically cloning) this process is carried out by bacteria and archaea
Parthenogenesis
Parthenogenesis is the process in which unfertilized female cells develop due to various survival factors, environmental factors and electric shocks, this can be carried out by fish, insects, and even birds in certain circumstances.
Budding
Budding is the asexual reproduction process in which an uneven protrusion is generated on the parent that then after a time reaches enough maturity to separate and be independent, some examples of these are corals, flatworms and jellyfish
Particular Things
-
-
In some species there are usually several clones as a result, especially in spores and binary fusion (from hundreds to millions)
Sexual
Sexual reproduction is the process of reproduction that is carried out by 2 specimens of a different sex species, they share genetic material through sperm or pollem on the part of the male specimen or through eggs on the part of the female specimen, in order to create a new way of life different from the original
Particular Things
-
-The result obtained from sexual reproduction is a different specimen from the original but with characteristics of the parents
