THE END OF THE MIDDLE AGES
The medieval age is the historical age of the thousand years that Europe lived. It is often mentioned that it began with the overthrow of the Western Roman Empire in 476 and ended with the discovery of America in 1942.
FIRST STAGE (High MiddleAges)
THE LATE MIDDLE AGE
The feudal lords forced the inhabitants of their territory and made them their servants. They were not slaves, but they had no property for us.
Each of these feudal lords lived in a fortified castle and had officers and soldiers. Generally, castles were built with moats around it, it was a defense mechanism. In the castles there was a raised bridge, in case of attacks their families and servants took refuge in the castle.
Few people in all the centuries could read and write. However, the monasteries became places of study and dissemination of agricultural, horticultural and livestock practices.
Along with them, they built beautiful cathedrals in the romantic style and later, in the late Middle Ages. Benedict began to form these monasteries, that is why the monks were called Benedectine
The tribes lived in constant wars.
Likewise, there was a dispersion of power; there was no centralized command.
The Roman Empire was divided thus losing its power over the Mediterranean.
The Middle Ages began in the 5th century and ended in the 15th century. It was two periods:
High Middle Ages: From the 5th to the 10th century. It is the ancient Middle Ages.:
Late Middle Ages: From the 11th to the 15th century. It's the recent Middle Ages
