" you did not tell me to spell deadbeat sir... but if you want dead beat here it is: f-a-t-h-e-r, d-a-d, d-a-d-d-y, p-o-p p-o-p-s, if you want slang." - Marshall Davis-Jones.

"While fathers balanced their menstrual, 2 jobs, 2 kids and a life on a unicycle and it looks something like this: breastfeeding on one arm phone on the shoulder cooking with the other arm cleaning with one leg tying sneakers with their teeth." -Marshall Davis-Jones

"my father, sacrificed owning nothing, that I may have everything. my father, walked a daily nightmare so that I may live out my dreams. my father watered me with blood sweat and tears so that I may be ripe for the harvest and I hope that one day I can grow up to be as great a father as she was for me." -Marshall Davis-Jones

"Far from all, but many of the people who don't fit in are boys. A decade or so ago, people started writing books and articles on the boy crisis. At the time, the evidence was disputable and some experts pushed back. Since then, the evidence that boys are falling behind has mounted. The case is closed. The numbers for boys get worse and worse." -David Brooks

"Little Prince Hal has a lot going on inside. He's not the unfeeling, uncommunicative, testosterone-driven cretin of common boy stereotype. He's just inspired by a different honor code. He doesn't find much inspiration in school, but he should." -David Brooks

"Women as well as men can wield the weapon of sexuality in the workplace- as I saw in months of interviews about sexual harassment at two Ford plants in Chicago. In the care, in addition to persistent abuse by men, several women were also accused of trading sex for better, less physically demanding jobs." -Susan Chira

"I don't think you can understand this notion of sexual harassment. And there are worries that many of the prescribed remedies, from training to promoting women to stiffening penalties, could fall short, generate more resentment or perpetuate stereotypes that women are always victims. Lawsuits abound but seldom force upheavals in entire systems' Professor Williams said." -Susan Chira

"I want a wife who will take care of my physical needs. I want a wife who will keep my house clean. A wife who will pick up after my children, a wife who will pick up after me. I want a wife who will keep my clothes clean, ironed, mended, replaced when need be, and who will see to it that my personal things are kept in their proper place so that I can find what I need the minute I need it." -Judy Brady

"I would like to go back to school so that I can become economically independent, support myself, and, if need be, support those dependent upon me. I want a wife who will work and send me to school. And while I am going to school I want a wife to take care of my children" - Judy Brady

"If, by chance, I find another person more suitable as a wife than the wife I already have, I want the liberty to replace my present wife with another one. Naturally, I will expect a fresh new life; my wife will take the children and be solely responsible for them so that I am left free." - Judy Brady

"They talked casually but passionately about sports, basketball especially, with the deep resonance that reverberates in my hungry ears." - Vershawn Ashanti Young

"As she left, the men told her she was 'still 100 percent black.' As she made her way to campus, however, she says she 'felt triumphant and sad' --triumphant because, although the men 'had read the education in her language as proof of her 'imitation whiteness,' she was able 'to shed her academic self consciousness' and belong, to be seen as 'part of the group, as authentic." - Vershawn Ashanti Young

"I want a wife who is sensitive to my sexual needs, a wife who makes love passionately and eagerly when I feel like it, a wife who mades sure that I am satisfied. And, of course, I want a wife who will not demand sexual attention when I am not in the mood for it. I want a wife who assumes the complete responsibility for birth control, because I do not want more children. I want a wife who will remain sexually faithful to me so that I do not have to clutter up my intellectual life with jealousies." - Judy Brady
