You have no tutorial, so you dont know that this game features PERMADEATH. Let's further imagine that your sitting there without your bootstraps, boots, or anything else and you look in the upper right hand corner and see instead of the 0/1 next to each number, you see that you somehow have NEGATIVE boots, and it says -99/0.
