A century ago, the last remaining bee clan signed a treaty with the bear clan to save themselves from extinction. The treaty held that the bears provide warm housing and garden territory for the bees to harvest resources from in return for honey and honey-made goods. The bears rely on the bees to pollinate their fields and provide food (crystalized honey) during the Winter. Hibernation season is coming, and it is cold. The beartakers are getting increasingly lazy and fail to maintain the gardens. As the flowers die off, the bees have to venture outside of the territory on long, dangerous journeys, therefore lessening production. While the bees are dispatched, the bears sneak into the hive, stealing all of their storage. The bears are breaking the treaty with their incompetence and greed. Upon returning to their starved hive, the bees plan to retaliate and take over.
