        Contains reticular fibers
        
        Creates a stiff framework that supports cells

        Collagen fibers are arranged in 1 direction
        
        Found in tendons and ligaments
      - Irregular
        
        Fibers going in different directions
        
        In capsules around organs

        Provides flexible cushining
        
        Found between vertebrae and arteries

        Glassy looking
        
        Firm ground substance with lacuna (spaces for cells)

        Contains lots of collagen, mostly running parallel
        
        Found in intervertebral spaces
      - Elastic
        
        Highly flexible
        
        In outer ear, and tip of nose
