Suicide
The act of intentionally taking one's own life
Suicide is the third leading cause of death for teens aged 12-19
Approx. 4,000 teens commit suicide each year
90 percent of teens who commit suicide suffered from depression

A series of suicides occurring within a short period of time and involving several people in the same school or community

an illness that involves mood extremes that interfere with everyday living

engaging in patterns or behaviors in which the rights of others or basic social rules are violated such as stealing, violence, and vandalism. treatment includes learning to adapt to the demands of daily life
schizophernia
a mental disorder in which a person loses contact with reality and causes unpredictable actions
symptoms include delusions, hallucinations, and though disorders
personality disorder
people who are unable to regulate their emotions and feel distressed in social situations.

A professional who diagnoses and treats emotional band behavioral disorders with counseling. Some prescribe medications.

A professional who provides guidance and treatment for emotional problems in a hospital, mental health clinic, or family service agents

Group Therapy
