Symblolism
A device that uses symbols, be they words, people, marks, locations, or abstract ideas to represent something beyond the literal meaning.

Diction is the choice of words or word choice and style of expression that the author uses in their writing.
Diction has a great effect on the tone of a piece of literature, and how readers perceive the characters.
POV
A story can be told from the first person, second person or third person point of view.

Metaphore
A comparison of two things that are in no way alike, but have something in common

Simile
A simile is a figure of speech or a type of metaphor that compares two different things using the words “like” or “as.”
The purpose of a simile is to describe one thing by comparison, or comparing one thing yo another thing that is perhaps seemingly unrelated.
