Factors affecting Birth rates, Factors affecting Death rates, dont you…
Factors affecting Birth rates
Economic situation of the country:
in a country with bad prospects (e.g. war torn countries etc.) people may choose to not have children as their children will die
Mean income:
more people have enough money to support an additional dependent
Government policies regarding pregnancy:
things such as baby bonus may motivate people to have more babies
Fertility rate:
more babies born per 1000 people
= more babies born (overall)
cost of healthcare:
in countries such as america where healthcare is not free people may try not to have children as any health costs will have to be borne by them alone, without government subsidies
Dependency ratio:
If a working adult already has to support multiple dependents they may rethink having a baby as that would add to their liabilities
Life expectancy:
a longer life expectancy means that people will spend more time in retirement. They may want to have less children and accumulate more funds to pay for their life in retirement
Educational Infrastructure:
in a country with good educational infrastructure, people may choose to have kids as their education and thus their future will be guaranteed
male : female ratio
more females than males is an ideal distribution for population growth as one male can impregnate multiple females
Medical infrastucture:
Better medical infrastructure will mean that more people will survive to an age where they can reproduce without dying from illness and other maladies. Thus, there will be a bigger number of people who can reproduce increasing the birthrate
Pension:
In countries without pensions, people will be motivated to have children as a form of "insurance" as they can provide them with money when they are old
Factors affecting Death rates
Educational system:
Countries with educational systems that promote healthy school relationships create a positive school environment where students have an outlet for seeking emotional help. This would reduce the number of people who grow up and turn to a life of crime, reducing the number of people who die (from murder, drug abuse etc.)
Countries with developed educational systems can indoctrine into students life values such as eating healthily and excercising which would lead to the children growing up to become people who are generally healthier and have a lower chance of developing serious health problems
Countries with educational systems that put unreasonably large amounts of stress on students can experience high suicide rates, increasing the death rate.
Judiciary system:
Death rates are higher in countries with laws that afford civilians the right to own firearms
Countries with good healthcare systems can reduce the number of people who die from disease, reducing the death rate
Countries with good sanitation and adequate sewer systems will reduce the number of people who are infected by disease, reducing the number of people dying from disease, reducing the death rate
dont you hate when americans shoot up the school making death rates go up hehahohahe
