TOWARDS AUTONOMY - Coggle Diagram

        A short story about a real person or event, generally will relate to the subject matter that the group of people is discussing
        
        Example: A group of coworkers are discussing pets, and one coworker tells a story about how her cat comes downstairs at a certain time every night, then that coworker has just shared an anecdote
  - - - Example:
        The teacher: If we have free time, we will go to the party.
        Student 1: If we have fun, we will come home late.
        Student 2: If we come home late, we will miss our test tomorrow.
        Student 3: If we miss our test tomorrow, we will get fail grade. :
  - - - Stimulate a party, standing up and milling. Exchanging jokes in a pair or groups of three :silhouettes:
        
        Teach some basic joke-framing expressions first such as, Did here the joke about...? and That reminds me of the joke about... ?
        
        The repeated practice that they get telling their jokes fulfils an important function of good speaking tasks
- - - - Example:
        :silhouettes: The customers might be parents looking for particular kind of school for their special needs child and the providers represent various school.
        :silhouettes: The parents first decides what features the school looking for should have and the parents will start visiting all the providers and interview them.
        :silhouettes: After finish visiting all the providers, the parents make decision. Each group need to report their decision with reason to the class.
  - - - 2 students are 'accused' for committing a crime for a specific time and place. The ones accused have to establish an alibi
        
        Alibi is a reason of innocence that they did not commit the crime at the specific time and place stated. Anything other than within the stated time and place is irrelevant
        
        The rest of the class prepare generic questions to ask the accused, with the teacher prompting, if necessary
        
        What were you doing? What did you do next? Who did you meet? What did you say?
        
        The accused are then led in, one at a time, to answer the questions put to them
        
        The accused are not allowed to claim that they do not remember
        
        Any significant discrepancy in their answers means, that they of course, are guilty

        Disastrous package holiday
        
        Housing estate plagued with problems
        
        Badly governed village
        
        After situation has been established, some groups will brainstorm their problems, while those responsible to anticipate and muster counterarguments.
        
        Panel of arbitrators - 2 @ 3 students - prepare questions to complaints
        
        Finally the arbitrators make a ruling

        Same format can be used for 'The Tender', but different interest of group submit their proposal for project
        
        The project may be about:
        
        Development open space in the middle of a town
        
        How best to provide energy for a village
        
        The design of commemorative stamp or monument
