Light - Coggle Diagram
Light
Different objects react differently towards lights
Opaque objects
Objects That block light by either reflecting or absorbing light
Transparent Objects
Which allow light to pass through
Translucent objects
Which allow light to pass partially
Light has a duel nature
Light has some properties of mass
Light has some properties of waves
There are 2 types of objects
Luminous
Emit light
Non Luminous
Don't emit light
dispersion
white light is made up of seven different colours
when white light splits into seven different colored
Light is a form of energy
Light is made up of energy containing particles called 'photons'
Light makes things visible
When light rays reflect from the surface of an object and into our eyes, the object is visible
Reflection
Incident ray
the ray of light falling on an object
the angle formed between the normal and the incident ray
Angle of incidence
reflected ray
the reflected ray of light from a surface
the angle formed between the normal and the reflected ray
Angle of reflection
normal
the line perpendicular to the point where the incident ray falls
Types of reflection
regular reflection
it is uniformed
Angle of incidence = Angle of reflection
mostly happens when light is shone on plane, smooth surfaces
irregular reflection
it is not uniformed
Angle of incidence is not equal to the Angle of reflection
mostly happens when light is shone on surfaces which are rough
light is scattered
Light is an electromagnetic radiation exhibited by the sun
speed of light is 3*10^8 m/s
